Dr Anna Mamone

Anna has completed degrees in both Science (Biochemistry/ Microbiology) and Osteopathy. She has also completed a Masters in Osteopathy, conducting research into musculoskeletal injury related to classical dance.
Anna has extensive knowledge and experience in the treatment of a range of sport related injuries with a special interest in dance and running related injuries. Anna has competitively participated in marathon running, dance and yoga and uses her skill and knowledge to assist the novice through to the professional athlete to return to sport, enhance performance and prevent injury. She has worked with a range of performers and sports people including professional golf players, dancers, marathon runners, tennis players, cyclists, rock climbers and Circus Oz performers.
Anna has over 20 years of experience in the treatment of joint and spinal conditions affected by mechanical and postural strain as well as pathologies such as disc injury and arthritis. She also has an interest in women's health and pregnancy related pain, treating women during all stages of pregnancy for conditions such as pelvic pain and lower back pain using gentle techniques.
Anna has a strong background in rehabilitation and clinical pilates, incorporating the prescription of exercise in her treatment to assist in the recovery and prevention of an injury or condition.
